Today we had a visit from Pam Betts, Executive Director of Brisbane
Catholic Education. Miss Betts visited the classrooms, had afternoon tea
with the staff and attended assembly with the whole school. During
afternoon tea it was lovely to hear Miss Betts comment on how articulate
and engaged all of our students were in their learning. When she went
to each classroom the students were able to tell her what they were
learning and how they could achieve success.
The afternoon assembly
reflected on Adore for 24. It was inspiring to hear the students saying
how they felt during the adoration. Many students stated that they felt
closer to Jesus and God afterwards. Many of the teachers, including
Miss Betts, had a few tears in their eyes hearing the children's
responses.
We also presented Miss Betts with a canvas of the 12 Disciples for her to take back to her office.
"I just loved visiting classrooms. The spaces were so engaging with resources for students displayed and students clearly able to articulate what they are learning.
The prayer assembly was just beautiful and please pass on my thanks and congratulations to the small group who led us in music." Pam Betts
