Holy Week

At the end of Term 1 the students from Year 1 to Year 6 created canvas' with the help of Ms Rogers telling the Easter story. Please see the story and artwork below.


In front of Jesus and behind him, people went along shouting, "Hooray! God bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Mark 11:7-8




During the meal Jesus took some bread in his hands. He blessed the bread and broke it. Then he gave it to his disciples and said, “Take this and eat it. This is my body.”

"If I don't wash you," Jesus told him, "you don't really belong to me." John 13:8




Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he told them, "Sit here while I pray."

They paid Judas thirty silver coins, and from then on he started looking for a good chance to betray Jesus. Mathew 26:15-16




Once more Peter denied it, and right then a rooster crowed. John 18:27




They put a purple robe(n) on him, and on his head they placed a crown that they had made out of thorn branches. They made fun of Jesus and shouted, "Hey, you king of the Jews!" Mark 15:17-18



There Jesus was nailed to the cross, and on each side of him a man was also nailed to a cross. John 19:18




Joseph bought a linen cloth and took the body down from the cross. He had it wrapped in the cloth, and he put it in a tomb that had been cut into solid rock. Then he rolled a big stone against the entrance to the tomb. Mark 15:46




He isn’t here! God has raised him to life, just as Jesus said he would. Come, see the place where his body was lying. Matthew 28:6
