 Enrolment Application Information

St Finbarr's Catholic Primary School catering for boys and girls from Prep to Year 6 is located in the Brisbane suburb of Ashgrove and is an educational ministry of the Catholic Parish of St Finbarr's Ashgrove, forming part of the Brisbane Archdiocesan community of schools. The focus of our labours "In Faith and Love" is on the education of our children. 

There are currently 190 students enrolled at St Finbarr's Ashgrove. Please review our enrolment policy and frequently asked questions for further enrolment information and do not hesitate to contact our school office if you require any further information or would like to enquire about enrolling your family at St Finbarr's Ashgrove.

Online Enrolment Application

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at St Finbarr's. Please find the link below to your child's online enrolment application.

You will need to click on the link, enter and review the required details, complete and submit the form.

If applying for enrolment for more than 1 student, when the form is completed an option will be available to submit another enrolment for each additional student.

To lodge an application for your child, please remember to also send:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate (if baptised)
  • and if noted in your application: Legal Documentation, Medical Action Plan and Student Specialist Assessments. 

These additional documents can be emailed, posted or hand delivered to the school.

After lodging an Enrolment Application, parents will be invited to attend an enrolment interview.  It is important that your child or children who are enrolling attend this interview.

Prep Year Enrolments

Enrolment applications are now being taken for Prep 2018. Children born between July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 are eligible for Prep 2018.

You are welcome and encouraged to complete an enrolment form for 2019 and beyond. 

  • Children born between Jul 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 are eligible for Prep 2019
  • Children born between Jul 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 are eligible for Prep 2020
  • Children born between Jul 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 are eligible for Prep 2021

Enrolment Statement

Children applying for Prep must be born within the specific dates as set down by the Government.

Interviews for Prep will be conducted by the Principal in April/May

Offers for positions will be sent out by June with a confirmation of enrolment form to be completed and returned to the school office with the payment of $300 to confirm enrolment and $200 will be credited to your Term 1 fees. This payment is non-refundable,

An orientation morning is conducted for the Prep pupils during term 4.

Other grade enrolments happen across the year as well as an intake at the beginning of each new school year. These positions are offered where there are vacancies.

A similar process occurs with interviews and offers of places if available.

All new enrolments are supplied with booklists and uniform requirements.
